Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Program Assistant to engage children and youth in supervised activities, promote social development, and ensure safety within DoD policy. You will support curriculum implementation, coordinate indoor/outdoor spaces, and communicate with families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to training requirements, and the ability to follow instructions. Candidates must be at least 18 and complete required credential checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete required DoD training and background checks.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans aligned with curriculum.
• Prepare and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials.
• Supervise program participants and ensure safety and compliance.
• Communicate with parents and employees regarding program activities.
• Observe and document developmental progression and plan accordingly.
• Assist in obtaining DoD certification and national accreditation.
