Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Assistant to work with children and youth, keeping them engaged, well‑cared for, and safe while participating in the CYP.

The role supports curriculum and activity planning, supervises participants during indoor/outdoor activities, and assists with parent and employee communications. It emphasizes safety, development, and compliance with DoD policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must provide a copy of your HS Diploma, GED, or College Transcripts when you apply.
• Must pass all applicable records and background checks.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug testing and immunization evidence.
• Experience working with children or youth in a DoD CY setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans and implements them for children and youth.
• Prepare and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials.
• Supervise program participants and ensure safety and accountability.
• Communicate with parents and employees regarding program activities and child progress.
• Assist in ensuring DoD certification and national accreditation compliance.
