Job summary

The YMCA of Catawba Valley seeks a School Age Program Coordinator to oversee the before/after/summer program in Morganton. This role ensures grant objectives are met, supports staff, and drives successful program delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating activities, monitoring attendance, and ensuring compliance with licensing and safety standards. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Education, Youth Development or related field; BSAC/EDU 119 preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of program coordination/management experience.
• Experience with grant-funded programs and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of before/after/summer program.
• Coordinate and schedule events, activities, and sessions.
• Ensure activities align with grant objectives and licensing rules.
• Supervise staff, provide guidance, recruitment, and evaluations.
• Maintain attendance records and program data; report to supervisor.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
