Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a Y BASE Site Supervisor to oversee Before and After School Care programming at Tri County YMCA in Menomonee Falls, WI. This year-round role will transition to day camp leadership during the summer months and requires strong supervision and activity planning.

The position emphasizes keeping youth safe, developing engaging activities, and collaborating with schools while upholding the YMCA values of caring, honesty, and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with 240 hours of experience in an approved education setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Meets Child Care Licensing requirements (2 DCF-approved courses in ECE or 48 college credits with ECE focus, or a degree/credential) or Wisconsin Registry qualification.
• Minimum 240 hours of related experience with children in approved settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for before/after school care.
• Act as on-site supervisor for Y BASE staff and camp programs in summer.
• Lead day camp leadership duties during summer sessions.
• Manage supplies, materials, and equipment for planned activities.
• Build positive relationships with staff, families, and children; handle concerns professionally.
• Coordinate with local school districts to align programming with policies.
• Maintain participant records and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces; follow emergency procedures.
