Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking an enthusiastic Site Supervisor for the Y BASE program in Greenfield, WI. This year-round role guides before and after school activities and transitions to summer camp programming.

You will oversee staff, deliver planned activities, and ensure safety and quality. Responsibilities include creating engaging lesson plans, managing supplies, building positive relationships with children and families, and collaborating with local schools.

Qualifications

• Must meet Wisconsin Child Care Licensing requirements as described.
• Minimum of 240 hours of related experience with children in approved settings.
• Must be able to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, Abusive Head Trauma, and Mandated Reporter certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for before/after school.
• Serve as on-site supervisor for Y BASE staff and camp programs in summer.
• Lead day camp leadership roles during summer months.
• Manage materials, supplies, and classroom equipment.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, families, and children.
• Coordinate with school district staff to align programming with policies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2 DCF-approved courses in early childhood education (credit or non-credit)

48 credits from an institution of higher education with at least 3 credits in early childhood education or school-age growth and development

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education

Child Development Associate credential
