Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a full-time Before and After School Care Site Supervisor for West Suburban YMCA, Wauwatosa, WI. The role oversees Y BASE programming year-round, transitioning to summer camp leadership as needed, and ensures safety and quality of activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have completed high school or equivalent.
• Must meet licensing requirements including specific education credits or degrees or credentials.
• Minimum of 240 hours related experience with children in approved setting.
• Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED and other certifications within required timeframe.
• Ability to relate to diverse populations and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for before/after school care.
• Act as on-site supervisor of Y BASE staff and camp programs in summer.
• Lead day camp leadership roles during summer months.
• Manage materials, supplies, and equipment for planned activities.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, families, and children and address concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with local school districts to align programming with policies.
• Maintain participant records and ensure safety and cleanliness of spaces.
• Comply with YMCA safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
