YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to supervise a licensed school-age program, ensuring safety, engagement, and quality. You’ll manage daily operations, implement curriculum, and build strong ties with families, schools, and staff.

The role requires leadership, adherence to licensing standards, and a commitment to youth development in a collaborative YMCA environment. Part-time schedules, on-site at the Houston area sites, with flexible shift options.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma/GED and 70 hours of training in youth development or recreation leadership
• Coursework equivalence: 2 college courses ≈100 clock hours may count toward standard requirements
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention certifications or ability to obtain them

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe with proper supervision and attendance records
• Oversee daily operations and program implementation
• Ensure licensing compliance and program quality
• Engage with families and school partners to support youth development
• Manage program growth, retention, and enrollment
• Lead safety drills and maintain incident/compliance documentation
• Coordinate with the Program Director on concerns or issues
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records
