Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is seeking a Group Leader to guide elementary and middle school members in engaging activities across indoor and outdoor spaces. The role operates under the Branch Manager and supports program delivery for 10–20 youths per session.

You will ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, plan and supervise activities, and assist in food service while fostering a positive, inclusive environment for youth, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or GED; some college experience preferred.
• Minimum of 48 college units completed or CAPE exam; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with school-aged youth preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills: MS Office, email, internet research, social media navigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 10–20 youth in recreational and developmental activities.
• Ensure programs and activities follow health and safety protocols.
• Plan and lead programs; provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Set up and clean up materials daily; assist in food service as needed.
• Monitor safety and behavior; maintain attendance records.
