Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego seeks a Group Leader to guide elementary and middle school youth in diverse activities at multiple sites. You will supervise groups, ensure safety standards, and model positive behavior in a fun, structured setting.

Responsibilities include planning programs, maintaining attendance, coordinating with staff and parents, and supporting the club’s mission to foster academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or GED required with some college experience; or a combination of knowledge and experience.
• A minimum of 48 units of college curriculum or completion of the Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) required; or a combination of knowledge and experience.
• Minimum of one year experience working directly with school aged youth and knowledge of youth development is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct elementary and middle school-aged members in recreational and developmental activities.
• Ensure programs adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Plan and lead engaging activities; provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Maintain attendance records and report as required.
• Cultivate positive relationships with members, parents, and staff.
