Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego in Escondido, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Sr. Group Leader to support daily operations under the Branch Manager. You will supervise staff and volunteers, oversee programs, recruit and retain members, and manage program data and outcomes.

When the Manager is away, you ensure continued site operations and support the Membership Clerk. The role emphasizes safety, youth development, and delivering engaging activities in a safe environment, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or GED required with some college experience; or a combination of knowledge and experience.
• A minimum of 48 units of college curriculum or completion of CAPE; or a combination of knowledge and experience.
• Minimum of 1–3 years experience working directly with school aged youth and knowledge of youth development is required.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth; instruct, coach, and direct varied activities.
• Possess skills for instruction, direction, and guidance, with the ability to lead and control groups of children in various recreational and educational activities and settings.
• Respond according to procedure for emergency and disciplinary situations.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire.

• Assist with daily health & wellness checks on staff and members.
• Ensure programs adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Coordinate program services and activities for youth; promote participation.
• Plan and lead programs; provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Maintain attendance records and manage program data.
