Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego in Escondido, CA, seeks a Part Time Group Leader to supervise and guide elementary and middle school members through recreational and educational activities.

Under the Branch Manager’s supervision, you will plan and lead programs, ensure safety protocols, assist in food service, maintain attendance records, and communicate with families. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 48 units of college curriculum or CAPE completion.
• Minimum of one year experience with school-aged youth (preferred).
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth; instruct and direct activities.
• Ability to lead and direct groups of children in recreational/educational activities.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 10–20 youth in recreational and educational activities.
• Ensure programs adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Plan, lead, and promote program participation; provide guidance and role modeling.
• Set up and clean up materials daily and supervise equipment use.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and foster positive relationships with youth and guardians.
