Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a part-time Before and After School Care Assistant Instructor in Wauwatosa, WI. The role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for school-aged children, and serving as a positive role model for youth and staff.

The position requires completion of a DCF-approved course within the first week and meeting licensing requirements; CPR/First Aid and other certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must complete a DCF-approved, non-credit course (online) within the first week of employment.
• Must meet school age licensing requirements.
• Must obtain CPR, First Aid, AED and related certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and actively participate in daily activities for youth before and after school.
• Serve as a role model to staff and program participants.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, families and children.
• Maintain participant records and other documentation as required.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces and classrooms.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
