Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation in diverse communities.
• Effective communicator with kids and parents.
• College transcripts showing 48+ credits OR pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test and Live Scan background check.
• English-Spanish bilingual candidates stand out; resumes with bilingual skills are favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and lead indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings on childcare, safety, and program management.
• Address challenging behavior with supervisors or parents when necessary.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures and ensure accurate attendance tracking.
• Create and lead clubs for students (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Organize and lead homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
