Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Good communication with kids and parents.
• 48+ college credits completed OR pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test and Live Scan background check required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate and participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare and program management.
• Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents as needed.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
• Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
