Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Child and Youth Program Leader to provide direct care and instruction to children aged 6 weeks to 18 years. The role also mentors CY Program Assistants, supports training, and ensures DoD policy compliance across activities and events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate programs for ages 6 weeks to 18.
• Knowledge of child and youth development principles and practices.
• Skills to apply laws on child abuse prevention.
• Ability to assess interests and motivation in CYP environments.
• Skill in program planning, organizing, and scheduling staff.
• Leadership, mentoring, and guidance abilities for CY staff.
• Ability to identify and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to train staff on child illnesses and safety issues.
• Ability to develop curriculum outlines and lesson guides.
• Excellent English communication, oral and written.
• One year of CY-02 level experience.
