Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a CYP Assistant to engage children and youth, support social development, health, and safety during the CYP program.

Duties include developing schedules, implementing activities, supervising participants, communicating with parents, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Candidates must meet entry/intermediate/target level KSAs, be 18+, complete mandatory training, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must complete required DoD/Navy training and certifications.
• Six months of experience with children/youth in a program setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans.
• Implements activities meeting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Supervises children and youth during indoor/outdoor activities and special events.
• Communicates with parents and staff regarding child progress and program activities.
• Ensures compliance with DoD and local policies; maintains safety and supervision.
