Job summary

The International Institute of Southwest Missouri seeks a compassionate Youth Mentor Program Coordinator to support refugee and immigrant youth as they build successful futures in our community.

You will coordinate the Youth Mentor Program, connecting refugee youth and young adults with trained mentors who provide academic, career, social, and emotional support. You will recruit volunteers, manage records, and collaborate with staff and partner organizations to create meaningful opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 90 college credit hours toward a degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Youth Development, or a related field.
• Experience working with youth, refugees, immigrants, or diverse populations preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or mentoring programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll refugee youth and young adults into the Youth Mentor Program.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized goal plans.
• Support participation in educational, career, leadership, and enrichment opportunities.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics for activities.
• Facilitate workshops and community engagement with staff and volunteers.
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing guidance and support.
• Maintain accurate participant and volunteer records.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and contractual obligations.
• Complete assessments, case notes, and monthly reports.
• Track program outcomes and assist with evaluation efforts.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and events.
• Represent the Institute in the community and with partner orgs.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, mission-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
