Job summary

The International Institute of Southwest Missouri is seeking a compassionate Youth Mentor Program Coordinator to support refugee and immigrant youth aged 15-30 in Springfield. The Coordinator will oversee the Youth Mentor Program, recruit and support mentors, and connect mentees with academic, career, social, and emotional resources to help them build successful futures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 90 college credit hours toward a degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Youth Development, or a related field.
• Experience working with youth, refugees, immigrants, or diverse populations preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, mentoring programs, educational programs, or community-based initiatives is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll refugee youth and young adults into the Youth Mentor Program.
• Conduct participant assessments and develop individualized goal plans.
• Support youth participation in educational, career, leadership, and enrichment opportunities.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics for program activities as needed.
• Facilitate workshops, events, and community engagement opportunities with staff, volunteers, and community organizations.
• Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing guidance and support.
