Job summary

The International Institute of Southwest Missouri (IISMO) is seeking a dedicated Resettlement Housing Coordinator to help newly arrived refugees and immigrants secure safe, affordable housing in the Springfield area. This role acts as a key liaison between the agency, landlords, volunteers, and clients to meet housing needs before and after arrival.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience in property management, housing services, social services, customer service, logistics, facilities coordination, or community outreach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure rental housing in the Springfield area.
• Build relationships with landlords and property managers.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of housing options.
• Coordinate housing set-ups for arriving clients.
• Conduct housing inspections for safety and occupancy.
• Assist with airport arrivals and client move-ins.
• Respond to housing-related concerns from clients and partners.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Attend meetings and represent IISMO professionally.
