The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a County Caseworker 1 in Jefferson County to support children and families in need. You will investigate child safety concerns and engage with children, parents, and community partners to promote well‑being.

This full‑time role requires in‑person field visits and courtroom testimony when needed. Hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with no telework. PSLF benefits apply after each year of service.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 related credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Equivalency combinations including 12 related credits and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.

Aufgaben

• Case Investigation: assess reports of possible abuse or neglect through direct contact with children and families.
• Family Support: address safety needs and connect families with resources.
• Community Collaboration: coordinate with schools, mental health providers, and partners to support child well‑being.
• Court Participation: provide testimony and information in court to help ensure protection of children.
• Field Engagement: conduct regular in person visits to monitor child safety and progress.
