Job summary

LearningWorks is seeking a Youth Diversion & Community Service Coordinator to work with youth completing service projects in Cumberland and York Counties. This hands-on, community-based role emphasizes building workplace skills, accountability and confidence.

You'll supervise and mentor participants, coordinate meaningful service activities, and maintain records while partnering with schools and community organizations. A driver’s license and ability to transport youths are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in criminal justice, human services, education or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with youth in education, community programs, juvenile justice, or related settings.
• Valid Maine driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to transport youth in a company-owned passenger van.
• Ability to lift 35–50 pounds and participate in physically active community service projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and coach youth participating in diversion and community service programs.
• Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Coordinate community service projects and participant schedules.
• Document participant progress and maintain case information.
• Communicate with schools, families and LearningWorks partners.
• Transport youth to activities in a LearningWorks vehicle.
• Support youth with accountability, teamwork and workplace skills.
• Contribute to program development and continuous improvement.
