Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program that aligns with state licensing requirements. The role emphasizes safe program delivery and collaboration with the Childcare or Program Director.

The position requires adherence to licensing standards, strong communication with families, and a proactive, energetic approach to youth development.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old (Level I) and meet the age requirements for Level II/III.
• Level I requires the School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires the School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.
• Level III requires the School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist Childcare or Program Director in delivering age-appropriate programs for children aged 6–12.
• Ensure safe implementation of programs, equipment, and facilities in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors to the Club.
• Be a positive role model for children at all times.
• Adhere to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware policies and Delaware STARS requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed or directed.
