Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support a quality school-age childcare program under the supervision of the Director. The role focuses on delivering age-appropriate activities for children 6–12, while ensuring licensing compliance and safety.

The position requires relevant certifications (Level I–III) and the ability to pass background checks. Part-time hours and benefits are available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate or higher.
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or certification within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate a quality school-age childcare program compliant with Delacare rules.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs for children ages 6–12 reflecting the Five Core Program Areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Supervise children in accordance with club policies and state licensing.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors to the Club.
• Model positive behavior and adhere to BGCDE OCCL and Delaware STARS policies.
• Contribute to a positive identity and presence for the Boys & Girls Club in the community.
