Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to help operate a high-quality school-age childcare program in Seaford, Delaware.

Under the supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will develop and implement age-appropriate activities, supervise children ages 6–12, maintain safety and classroom standards, engage with parents and school staff, and help ensure compliance with state licensing and Delaware STARS.

Qualifications

• Must pass FBI clearance and background checks per Delacare regulations.
• Must be able to drive an 8-passenger van with a valid license and <5 points.
• Experience in school-age childcare programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering age-appropriate programs for children ages 6–12.
• Ensure safety and quality of activities and maintain classroom standards.
• Foster productive relationships with parents, school staff and visitors.
• Model positive behavior and adhere to Club policies and state regulations.
• Support program director and adapt to department transfers as needed.
