Job summary

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado Springs seeks a Site Director to lead school-age childcare programs, including Before & After School, Adventure Days, Break Camps, and Summer Day Camp. Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• A four-year college degree in recreation, education, or human services, or related field.
• Two years of college and six months of verifiable full-time or equivalent experience with four or more children.
• Three years of verifiable full-time or equivalent experience with school-age children plus coursework or training in safety and child development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Before & After School, Adventure Days, Break Camps, and Summer Day Camp sites.
• Provide leadership and coaching to counselors and aides; ensure YMCA standards and licensing requirements are met.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and maintain safety, health, and program policies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and maintain professional relationships with staff and children.
