Job summary

YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region seeks a Youth Development Counselor to supervise and support children in Before/After Programs and Summer Day Camp. You will build positive relationships with youth, engage families, and promote safe, developmentally appropriate activities.

Required are 18+ years old, at least 460 hours of relevant experience, and CPR/AED plus First Aid certifications. You’ll follow safety policies and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive YMCA culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• At least 460 hours of group-activities experience with school-age children.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to follow policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, facilitate, and engage children in all activities.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment and treat children with respect.
• Maintain documentation such as attendance and incident reports.
• Lead transitions, supervise summer camp, and respond to accidents/incidents.
