Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is hiring a Program Supervisor for Year Round Youth Development Programs. You will lead and develop before/after school and summer day camp staff, ensuring developmentally appropriate activities and quality care.

You will supervise staff, manage schedules and maintain family/community partnerships, with 35–40 hours weekly in a full-time onsite role. The position starts in August at multiple elementary sites.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensures planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates child care site staff/volunteers.
• Maintains required staff/child ratios.
• Communicates with parents/guardians including newsletters and parent/teacher conferences.
• Plans events for parents and maintains relationships with families and school personnel.
• Maintains records and supports budgets and site operations.
