Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Supervisor for Year Round Youth Development Programs at Hazel Valley Elementary in Burien. The role oversees before/after school and summer day camp programs, supervising staff and ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate activities.

The position is full-time, onsite, with hours from 6:45am to 6:00pm during the school year, and 35–40 hours weekly. Compensation includes the listed benefits and a Grade 14 salary range.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college coursework.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates site staff/volunteers; conducts staff meetings and trainings; maintains staff/child ratios.
• Communicates with parents/guardians via newsletters and conferences.
• Maintains required staff/child ratios and safety protocols.
• Recruits enrollments and partners with the school to be an onsite partner with school staff.
• May assist with developing and monitoring department budgets and managing the site budget.
• Maintains records per YMCA and DEL standards (attendance, immunizations, registrations, etc.).
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
