Job summary

The Seattle YMCA is seeking a Program Supervisor for our Year Round Youth Development Programs. You will lead before- and after-school activities, day camp staff in summer, and ensure developmentally appropriate programming for participants.

You will supervise staff, maintain staff/child ratios, and foster professional relationships with families and school partners. You will work at multiple elementary locations with shifts Monday to Friday, 6:45am start and end-of-school hours, and 35–40 hours

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 30 credits of 100-level or above coursework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate site staff/volunteers; manage staff meetings.
• Maintain staff/child ratios; communicate with families and school personnel.
• Ensure adherence to YMCA policies, safety and emergency procedures.
• Maintain records and assist with budget and site supplies.
• Recruit enrollments and partner with schools for onsite operations.
