Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Supervisor for Year Round Youth Development Programs. You will lead and develop our before and after school programs and day camp staff, ensuring engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and a safe, high‑quality child care environment.

Based at one location with some cross-site support, you will hire and train staff, supervise volunteers, maintain required ratios, and foster strong relationships with families and schools to support

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to model and demonstrate Y values; caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• Experience planning and implementing group activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop before and after school programs and day camp staff across sites.
• Oversee planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Ensure safe, quality child care with proper staff ratios and regular staff meetings.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate site staff/volunteers and manage professional development.
• Maintain professional relationships with families, school personnel and the community.
• Assist with site budgets, purchases and inventory; monitor program records and data.
