Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Supervisor for Year Round Youth Development Programs at Hazel Valley Elementary. You will lead before/after school and summer day camp staff, ensuring developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are delivered, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, supervising volunteers, managing budgets and partnerships with families and school personnel, and ensuring strong, inclusive programs

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensures planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates child care site staff/volunteers; maintains staff/child ratios.
• Communicates with families and school personnel; prepares newsletters and parent conferences.
• Maintains records, budgets and site supplies; supports partnerships with schools and community.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; ensures safety and compliance with policies.
