Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking Youth Development Leaders to support our before/after school and day camp programs in Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and have fun.

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to safety, inclusivity, and positive relationships with families, staff, and the community while you grow your leadership skills through hands-on activities and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Monitor and supervise activities, ensure sign-in/out procedures, and follow safety policies.
• Lead engaging activities aligned with YMCA curriculum and adapt to diverse needs.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support daily program operations and maintain clean, organized spaces.
