YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a Youth Development Leader to inspire and supervise before/after school and day camp programs in Katy, Texas. You will create a safe, engaging space where youth learn and grow, guided by YMCA values.

Responsibilities include leading age-appropriate activities, monitoring safety, and building strong relationships with children, families, and staff. This role offers part-time schedules aligned with ISD calendars and the chance to make a lasting community impact.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after school and day camp programs.
• Monitor activities, conduct headcounts, and respond to situations using YMCA policies.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and bring the YMCA curriculum to life.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.
• Maintain a clean, organized program space meeting licensing standards.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA team.
• Ensure proper sign-in/out procedures and vigilant supervision of all areas.
