Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after-school and day camp programs across Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. You will help create a safe, engaging environment for youth and build meaningful connections with families and staff.

In addition to base duties, a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend is available for eligible employees. This is a part-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth and professional development within a mission-driven

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children per YMCA policies.
• Use positive behavior management to guide youth development.
• Lead fun and meaningful activities aligned with YMCA curriculum.
• Model YMCA values in all interactions.
• Support daily operations and maintain a clean, safe program space.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff, and teammates.
• Follow all child-protection policies and maintain proper sign-in/out procedures.
