The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring Youth Development Leaders to guide before/after-school and day camp programs for diverse youth communities in the Katy area. This role emphasizes safety, enrichment, and relationship-building with families and staff.

The position is part-time with flexible shifts aligned to school calendars, offering opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful activities, and contribute to a mission-driven team dedicated to youth growth.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching after-school and day camp environment.
• Lead games, projects, and hands-on activities.
• Monitor youth safety and attendance according to YMCA policies.
• Model positive behavior and inclusivity.
• Maintain clean, organized program spaces and follow licensing standards.
• Build positive relationships with families, school staff, and teammates.
