Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader for our Before/After School Programs and Day Camp in Katy, TX. Eligible employees may receive a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend in addition to base pay, with program safety, inclusivity, and engagement as core priorities.

You will supervise, engage, and mentor youth, plan age-appropriate activities, and foster a supportive community for families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment in before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Monitor activities, conduct supervision, and follow YMCA policies.
• Lead and adapt activities to meet the needs of all youth.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Ensure proper sign-in/out and maintain program spaces in good condition.
