Zusammenfassung

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader for our Before/After School Programs serving Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. This part-time role includes a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend in addition to base pay.

You will create a safe, engaging environment, lead activities, and build strong relationships with youth and families while adhering to safety policies and licensing requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Lead before/after-school and day camp programs with energy, creativity, and compassion.
• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment where youth feel supported, valued and excited to learn.
• Monitor safety, supervise activities, conduct headcounts, and follow YMCA policies.
• Deliver YMCA curriculum through games, projects, and hands-on learning.
• Model YMCA values in daily actions for youth to emulate.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, school staff, and YMCA team.
• Assist with daily operations and maintain a clean, organized program space.
