Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking energetic Youth Development Leaders for before/after school and day camp programs serving Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. Earn an additional $3.00 per hour as a temporary stipend on eligible locations.

You will create a safe, engaging space for youth, lead activities, and model YMCA values while building relationships with families and staff across partner sites.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with youth and families.
• Ability to manage groups and activities.
• Strong problem solving in dynamic environments.
• Commitment to inclusion and cultural competence.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED training.
• Pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Lead YMCA curriculum through games, projects, and hands-on learning.
• Monitor safety, sign-in/out, and supervision according to policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and teammates.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities for diverse groups.
• Help maintain a clean, organized program space and meet licensing standards.
