YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking enthusiastic Youth Development Leaders to join our before/after-school and day camp programs. You’ll create a safe, engaging environment where children learn, play, and grow, while building positive relationships with families and school staff.

This role offers a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend in eligible locations and part-time schedules aligned with ISD calendars. You’ll lead activities, model YMCA values, and help maintain safety, class management, and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Lead activities and adapt to diverse needs and interests of every child.
• Monitor safety, conduct headcounts, and follow YMCA policies during all program activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA team.
• Support daily operations and maintain a clean, organized program space.
