YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after‑school and day camp programs. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where youth thrive, learn, and feel valued.

Earn a $3.00 per hour stipend in eligible locations, in addition to base pay, and contribute to a mission‑driven team that serves families across Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. Responsibilities include supervising youth, guiding positive behaviors, leading activities, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age‑appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after school and day camp programs.
• Monitor activities, conduct headcounts, and respond to incidents following YMCA policies.
• Lead activities and adapt sessions to meet diverse needs and interests.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.
• Support daily operations by keeping spaces clean, organized, and compliant with standards.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA teammates.
• Ensure proper sign-in/out procedures and vigilant supervision of program areas.
