Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring Youth Development Leaders for our Before/After School Programs serving Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. Earn an additional $3.00 per hour stipend; base pay varies by location and schedule.

Join a mission-driven team and help children grow through engaging activities. Responsibilities include supervising groups, delivering enriching activities, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to pass background checks.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience with youth in licensed settings preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching before/after-school and day camp environment.
• Monitor activities, supervise groups, and follow YMCA policies.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and adapt to diverse needs.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring.
• Assist with daily operations and maintain a clean program space.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, staff.
