Job description

Join Norris as a Youth Care Specialist

Norris is seeking Youth Care Specialists to work during our 2nd shift (generally 2:00pm to 10:00pm) in our Residential Program at the Mukwonago campus. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young men in our care while developing your skills in human services.

Under the supervision of the Hall Supervisor, the Youth Care Specialist is responsible for the care and supervision of youth, including their safety, well-being, emotional, and educational needs. The role involves direct care, supervision, behavior management, recreation, and mental health support in a structured setting, following trauma-informed care principles. Responsibilities also include implementing treatment plans, maintaining documentation, and upholding daily routines.

This position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

An Associates or Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences is preferred. Experience in a related field or treatment setting will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate competencies in:
