Job Title: Lead Youth Care Specialist

Our Group Care Programs provide treatment, educational, and therapeutic recreational services to youth aged 8-17 and their families, addressing mental health, behavioral disorders, sexualized behaviors, AODA, and trauma, including abuse and neglect. Position Overview

The Lead Youth Care Specialist (LYCS) reports to the Milieu Supervisor and is responsible for supervising and caring for youth, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental needs are met. The LYCS collaborates with team members to deliver direct care, behavior management, recreation, and support services, all within a trauma-informed care framework. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and managing daily routines. The LYCS also administers medication and serves as the Leader on Duty during most shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and care for youth, ensuring safety and emotional support.
2. Implement treatment services and maintain documentation.
3. Administer medications accurately.
4. Serve as Leader on Duty, providing oversight during shifts.
5. Model respectful and culturally sensitive interactions.
6. Support team leadership and provide coaching to staff.

Work Schedule

This is a 24/7 treatment program requiring flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet program needs.
