Norris’ Group Care Programs provide treatment, educational, and therapeutic recreational services to youth aged 8 to 17 and their families. Services address mental health, emotional and behavioral disorders, problematic sexualized behaviors, AODA, and trauma, including abuse or neglect. We aim to provide the best quality care by making meaningful connections and creating a safe space for healing, engaging with respect, compassion, and acceptance.
We are currently seeking a Lead Youth Care Specialist for our Shelter Care Program at the Mukwonago, WI campus.
Under the supervision of the Milieu Supervisor, the Lead Youth Care Specialist (LYCS) is responsible for the care and supervision of youth, ensuring their safety, well-being, and educational needs are met. The LYCS collaborates with team members to provide direct care, behavior management, recreation, and other services, all within a trauma-informed care framework. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, maintaining documentation, overseeing daily routines, administering medication, and serving as Leader on Duty during shifts, including weekends and holidays.
The LYCS promotes sensitivity to ethnic and cultural diversity and effectively communicates Norris’s philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures. As part of the Group Care Leadership Team, the LYCS may serve as a supervisor but does not have direct reports. When not acting as a supervisor, the LYCS provides role modeling, coaching, and oversight of the living environment internally and externally. The position requires a flexible schedule to support the program’s needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
