Norris is seeking Youth Care Specialists to work during our 2nd shift (generally 2:00pm to 10:00pm) in our Residential Program at our Mukwonago campus. As a Youth Care Specialist at Norris, you will have opportunities to positively impact the lives of young men in our care and develop your skills in the Human Services field.
Under the supervision of the Hall Supervisor, the Youth Care Specialist (YCS) is responsible for the care and supervision of youth, including their safety, well-being, emotional, and educational needs. The YCS collaborates with team members to provide direct care, supervision, behavior management, recreation, and mental health services in a structured setting. Our services promote the Norris mission and practice philosophy, utilizing a trauma-informed care approach. The YCS also implements treatment plans, maintains documentation, and upholds the daily routine of the program.
This position requires a flexible schedule, including possible weekend and holiday hours, to meet the program's needs.
Preferred qualifications include an Associates or Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences, or relevant experience in a treatment setting.
