Job summary

YMCA of Greater Long Beach is seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee a TK/K program with direct support from the Executive Director. You will manage branch programs, cash handling, enrollments, and reporting, while supporting member relations and staff supervision.

The role emphasizes program promotion, community engagement and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include coaching staff, coordinating site visits, maintaining compliance with policies, and communicating with school

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience is required.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification required.
• Two years of related field experience required.
• Experience in program leadership and staff supervision preferred.
• Experience in sales/marketing, membership retention, program leadership and staff supervision preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments; good organizational skills; basic PC and typing skills.
• Criminal clearance with fingerprints and background check.
• Health screening with Negative TB and Drug tests.
• Complete all required online trainings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the program activities with direct support from the Executive Director.
• Manage branch programs, cash handling and enrollments; monitor usage and report on program metrics.
• Support member relations, inquiries, sign-ups and financial assistance processing.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff; participate in staff meetings.
• Promote program awareness through publications, marketing materials and events.
• Coordinate fundraising and special events; serve as liaison for fundraising team.
• Adhere to safety standards and protect assets; communicate with staff and supervisors.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings and YMCA functions.
• Maintain open communication with staff, parents and supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

College Degree and/or equivalent experience

CPR, First Aid and AED certification

2 years experience in related field

Experience in program leadership and staff supervision
