Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Long Beach seeks a dedicated leader to oversee the TK/Kinder program and supervise staff delivering before and after school activities. You will coordinate activities, ensure safety, and drive program quality in partnership with LBUSD and school staff.

The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling, budgeting, and community engagement to provide a high-quality, inclusive Y experience for families in Long Beach.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
• 4 or more years of experience in a related field with program leadership and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manages program activities to meet YMCA objectives and community needs.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers; reviews performance.
• Oversees program budget, supplies, and payroll responsibilities for TK/Kinder.
• Coordinates program registrations, scholarships, and communication with schools.
• Maintains strong partnerships with school sites and LBUSD staff to ensure quality service.
• Conducts site observations, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.
