Job summary

Sage YMCA in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a Swim Instructor for a part-time role. You will teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water while delivering outstanding service to members and guests.

No prior experience is required as free training and certification is provided, and all team members enjoy a free YMCA membership and flexible evening hours around school and other commitments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification or must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification.
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide a high-quality of instruction using age-appropriate practices.
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests.

Education

Must be at least 15 years old

YMCA Swim lessons or ARC WSI CPR First Aid AED Oxygen certification

Aqua training program completion or certification

Passion for working with diverse youth and high-quality instruction
