Job summary

Hastings Lake YMCA in Lindenhurst, IL is seeking a Swim Instructor to help members and guests build confidence in the water. This role offers flexible hours and the chance to stay active while making a difference in the community.

You’ll teach swim skills to kids and adults, provide excellent customer service, and complete YMCA training to earn certifications. No experience required; free training is provided, and a YMCA membership is included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification or must successfully complete the YMCA Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification or must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide a high-quality of instruction using age-appropriate practices
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job
