Job summary

Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to teach swim skills to kids and adults and deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests.

No experience is required—free training and certification are provided. This role offers flexible hours (Mon–Fri 5–9pm; Sat–Sun 9am–2pm) and includes a Free YMCA membership, with opportunities to grow your skills and advance within the aquatics team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor certification, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification, or complete Aquatics Academy training.
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide high-quality instruction using age-appropriate practices.
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests
• Assist with Swim League Instructor duties - teaching pre-swim team kids

Position Type: Part Time

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.75 Hourly
